First of all happy new year and congratulations to Luis and off course all others for the great work that is being accomplished. I just know a few of you guys (Luis, Selene, Cedric, Nicolas, Axel) and I just joined this community about a year ago. However, I can tell you that it is having a huge impact on the health of communities in central Africa and very soon in West Africa as well.
I implemented the lab module of GNU Health at the Medical Research Center in Franceville (Gabon). They do medical lab analyses for the population of Franceville. It has changed the face public health in this small city. People used to wait a few days before getting their lab results. Now they get their results just after a few hours. And I can tell you it can make a difference between staying alive or dying because the doctor will not be able to make a correct assessment of the medical status of the patient on time.
On behalf of all those who you are serving: the communities of Africa and of the world, the voiceless people, and who don’t even know that you exist, I say:
Thank you, Muchas Gracias
Kind regards,
Armand

With the purpose to optimize primary care, as well as avoiding paperworks and delays, the Ministry of Health through the Health Services of Morelos (SSM) will implement GNU Health, a free software Health and Hospital Information System, adopted by the University of United Nations and the Ministries of Health of other countries. By 2018 this software will be able to make all the medical records of 7 General Hospitals, 3 Community Hospitals and 204 Health Centers fully electronic (EMR) in order to satisfy the functionality of the medical history, hospital management and Health Information System (HIS).
This project will allow a better coordination between first and second level of health care, becauseit will be able to schedule appointments and get labs results with no need to attend the units, always guaranteeing the confidentiality of patients’ data. Given this new technology and with the goal to make the system more efficient, the Informatics Team of SSM will be trained by Luis Falcón, MD and Computer Scientis, creator of the system GNU Health.

During his trip to Manila to participate at the Global Forum 2015, Luis Falcón had the opportunity to visit the Navotas City Hospital and the APC University.
We want to thank Mayor John Rey de Navotas City to install GNU Health in his hospital, the team at Navotas City (Dr. Christia, Dr. Maffy and Dr. Lilly ) as well as Dr. Alvin Marcelo.
This experience was possible thanks to Mr. Joe Gene Quesada (IOSS Philippines) and Mr. Thomas Karopka

These are some words from Mr. Armand Mpassy-Nzoumba about this great project:
” During the Training of GNU Health we implemented the lab modules of GNU Health. It was done in replacement of of similar software which did no longer met user requirements. The lab team, of about 15 members, was trained. After implementation we noticed a number of improvements including:
